This server is the result of me wanting a public-facing Icecast server to experiment with. My original idea was to stream a Prevue Guide emulation on a platform other than YouTube or Twitch so I could control the codecs used (Twitch's AAC codec is terrible). I then said "why not", threw some music I had into a playlist, and set up Butt (streaming tool) so I could have my very own internet radio station.
Because one is never enough, I set up a secondary stream. At first, the content was going to be rips of a bunch of old 45's a thrift shop owner gave me. Because I lost the motivation to rip the records, I shifted the format to jazz and eventually soft rock.
